Ms. Johnson is an independent Qualitative Research Consultant and the principal of mj Dynamics, Cincinnati, Ohio. With over 14 years of practical qualitative marketing research experience in a wide array of topics and methodologies, she utilizes her creativity training to design research that seeks to uncover deeper levels of understanding throughout the research process. Marty is well versed in projective techniques, story telling and standard interviewing practices and has been recognized for particular effectiveness in exploring image driven products, sensitive subjects and consumer insights. She brings her years of expertise, insight and creativity into a range of projects including concept and product development, advertising evaluation, packaging and graphics, and in-depth consumer understanding. Accomplished in one-on-one, small- and large-group interviews, Marty utilizes exceptional questioning and listening skills to draw out beliefs and opinions behind the responses.

Marty began her career as an in-house category moderator for Procter & Gamble gaining extensive experience covering a broad range of topics among professionals, consumers, teens and “tweens.” She continues her work today with regional, national and international companies.

She is a member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association, Inc., the Creative Education Foundation and the American Marketing Association. Her volunteer work includes Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cincinnati, Food Chain Cincinnati, Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity, and the Center for Peace Education.
